What can you see in Selborne? They are a church, a museum, a post office, a primary school, two pubs and a few shops. There are no railway stations and no traffic lights. Although the main street is very busy with commuting cars, a little away from the main street you can see plenty of greenery and thatched houses or cottages along Gracious Street. The cottage I stayed at is Mr and Mrs Gibson's "Seal Cottage," which was built more than 200 years ago.
Someone said, "There's nothing to see in this village, but it's wonderful." I agree to this, but I heard many people who live in Selborne say that they are proud of the village Gilbert White loved. You can see the relics of the 18th century everywhere and you can trace "The Natural History of Selborne." There are many things to see if you are interested in Gilbert White or "The Natural History of Selborne."

First of all you should visit St. Mary's Church where Gilbert White served as a curate. You can enter the church freely as it is not locked. You can see two stained glass windows to comemmorate his birth and death. You can also find his modest gravestone at the back of the church.
