FlowerHF beam antenna UMX42A

UMX42A is a 4-band - 20/15/10/6m - miniature beam antenna manufuctured by Mini-multi Antenna in Japan. It's a combination of a 20m 2-element Yagi-Uda antenna and a 15/10/6m 2-element Yagi-Uda antenna. It's one of the world smallest beam antennas including 20m band, because maximum element length is only 3.63m, boom length is 1.7m, weight is 10kg. Its bandwidth is wide for antenna size, because dual radiator system is adopted.

VSWR characteristics of my UMX42A are shown in the table. When an user assembles UMX42A, he or she needs to choose either for CW use or for SSB use in 20m band. I chose for CW use.

(Unit:MHz) Sunny, 17 degrees Celsius Rainy, 11 degrees Celsius
VSWR is 1.5 or less VSWR is 2.0 or less VSWR is 1.5 or less VSWR is 2.0 or less
20m band
(chosen for CW use)
14.033 - 14.193 14.010 - 14.234 Band edge - 14.090 Band edge - 14.130
15m band Band edge - 21.205 Whole band Band edge - 21.091 Whole band
10m band Band edge - 28.910 Band edge - 29.016 Band edge - 28.779 Band edge - 28.934
6m band Band edge - 52.45 Band edge - 52.70 Not measured in detail,
but OK between 50 and 52MHz

I think that the bandwidth is wide for antenna size, and the influence of rain is relatively small.

Flower8-band Dipole (from May 2014)

8-band Dipole consists of Diamond Antenna W-8010 (80/40/20/15/10m) plus elements of Sagant Antenna MT-WARC (30/17/12m).
