Lax bush, Single
This lax bush or trailer makes a superb basket with its self-branching
habit and freely produced flowers.
It is a profuse bloomer, bearing four or five flowers from each pair of
leaf axils. The flower has a red tube and sepals, and a purple corolla,
maturing to magenta.
Small additional petals make Multa look like semi-double.
The color gradation made by flowers blooming one after another is very
vibrant. One of my favorite cultivars. Unfortunately Multa doesn't always
survive Japan's harsh summer. It loves a lot of light, but without heat.
