1886 Lye (UK) (data by CKL)*
Bush, Single
Lye's Unique might be one of the most popular cultivars among the many
introductions by James Lye.
This heat-resistant cultivar freely produces creamy white/orange red flowers
both in spring and autumn.
James Lye was born 1830 in Levangton Market in Wiltshire, start working
at Clyffe Hall, a small estate of Hon. Mrs. Hay and became the head gardener
there

I have an impression that Lye's Unique closely resembles Wassernymph. Both are strong bush
In the two photos, the left flower and leave are those from Wassernymph.
Although there seems to be slight differences between the two leavesin
the photo, I find it very difficult to tell one cultivar from the other.
