1912 Lemoine (FR) (data by CKL*)
Bush, Double
Dollar Princess is often written erroneously as "Princess Dollar."
The combination of dark green foliage and rich-colored flowers somehow
reminds me of a Japanese low bush known as "Senryo" (Sarcandra glabra), which is often used for special flower arrangements for New Year's Days.
For a double, Dollar Princess is relatively heat-tolerant. The flowering
season, however, can be shorter than expected in the western part of Japan,
because the temperature soon exceeds 30
oC after the plant starts flowering and you have to prune it to give it
a rest during hot spells.
