profile Okamoto Tatuharu, born in Kyoto, is a Japanese modern Ukiyo-e artist. He became interested in Ukiyoe in his childhood, especially in Hiroshige's landscape Ukiyo-e series. Tatuharu was impressed by Hiroshige's various drawing technique to depict season and weather, and his exquisite way to draw the unique individuals. In 1997, Tatuharu invented and started creating New Ukiyo-e in his original way using digital tools. My work has been selected for the Salon d'Automne 2026.
