Trace the History of FUJIYA HOTEL


 Fujiya Hotrl in Hakone built in 1878 has passed down a distinctive
tradition and culture through the remarkable architecturl beauty,the 
Japanese garden and hot springs. State guests and celebrites from 
overseas have spent their Japanese holidays here. Enjoy a fulfilling
moment at this hotel, where a trace of the Meiji period still remains.

　１８７８年(明治１１年）　山口仙之助が箱根宮の下に５００年の歴史を持つ温泉旅館
（藤屋）を買収して冨士屋ホテルを開業する。
　１８９１年(明治２４年）・本館竣工、現在も使用され、外観は創立当時の姿をとどめている。唐破風の玄関を持つ木造洋風建築。











　管理人所見・２００５年(平成17）年10月26・27日箱根に遊ぶ。初日は強羅泊まり。
宿泊先（強羅花壇）に付随する、旧閑院宮家別邸を見学。
27日は宮の下「冨士屋ホテル」にて、ランチを食する。管理人の当初の目的は冨士屋ホテルの見学にあったので、興味深く拝見する事ができた。又奈良ホテル（迎賓館比較しても、甲乙つけがたい大変に満足のいくレトロな建物であった。
