　快調な滑り出しのグローヴァー・ミッチェル指揮第四弾目のアルバム。最近までのサミー・ネスティコ作品を聴き馴染んだ耳には随分とスッキリと聴こえます。丁度、往年のニール・ヘフティを思い出させる作風ですから、ヘフティ作品と聴き比べるのも楽しいです。
　このアルバムは、１１曲が新曲とグローヴァー・ミッチェルの本気が伝わってくる構成。トリビュートに留まらず新生バンドに向けた姿勢が嬉しい。作・編曲は、アリン・ファーガソンが八曲、トランペットのボブ・オジーダが四曲を担当、ベイシー・バンドの伝統を受け継ぎながらスインギーでスマート、絶妙のスイング感を伴ったリラックスしたサウンドを聴かせます。そして、このアルバムでもブッチ・マイルスのホットなドラムスに御機嫌、「Drum Thing｣で彼のソロがフィーチャーされています。
　ベイシー・バンド健在を思わせる姿勢と演奏に期待が高まる快作です。
