1984 Van der Post (NL) (data by NKvV*)
Trailer, Single

Vincent van Gogh makes a superb hanging basket/pot quickly.

The flower is approx. 4 cm long, appearing in clusters at the end of branches. The tube is salmon pink, sepals are beige and corolla is lavender rose. Foliage is medium green.
Vincent van Gogh

Vincent van Gogh has an interesting genealogy (Data by Fuchsia CD-ROM from MöhltiMedia publishing).

Vincent van Gogh F. speciosa F. splendens
F. fulgens
F. fulgens var. rubra grandiflora

Unlike F. fulgens and its variety which appear as the pollen parent and grandfather in its genealogy, Vincent van Gogh blooms relatively early in season. I guess F. splendens might play some role in this. F. splendens is found in flower throughout the year in its native habitant and tends to bloom during the darker months in Great Britain.1)
