《コノハノテガミ　アスカ》

白玉砂利、陶に染付、紅白梅

　満開になった紅白の梅の下に、白い石ころと陶片約800枚を散りばめ、陶片に村の過去現在の風景を描いた。風景の欠片が降り積もるイメージ。そよ風が枝を揺らすと、陶器の重なり合う澄んだ音が響く。すべての陶片の裏面に「REMEMBER ME」とメッセージを添えた。明日香村での10日間のレジデンスを経て、住人との交流の中うまれたもの。

Under the red and white ume blossom in full bloom, White pea gravel and 800 fragments of pottery have been set up. They depict a sight both past and present. It represents the superposition of various times. When the wind blows between the branches, the sound of the fragments hanging from the branches and slighthly striking each other echoes nicely. On the back of each fragment, the message “remember me” is carved into a seal. I created that thanks to staying in Asuka for ten days.
