Abundance九三。豊其沛。日中見（昧）。折其右肱。无咎。
九三は、其の沛を豊（おお）いにす。日中に（昧）を見る。其の右肱を折る。咎なし。
「折れた腕」のごとく、もはや役立たぬ画家。
彼の前を先導する(en avance)「雪掻きシャベル」は、
老子の「無の用」 を表象す。
【石川虚舟註】 In Advanced of (En avance de) は、「に備えて」と解釈され、和訳されてきたが、 デュシャンはそれについて次の様に語る。
・・・もちろん、連想は容易です。雪かきをしているときに腕を折るかもしれない。でもそれはやはり単純すぎますし、そんな指摘をされると思わなかった。

3 Yang: Abundance is screened--you see stardust at midday. Breaking the right arm, there is no blame.
When the right arm, which people use, is broken,
obviously it can do nothing. When the intelligent and wise have enlightened leaders, they can do something for the world. If the leadership is unreliable, then they cannot do anything, like a man without his arm.
