Bush, Double
Dual Pearl is the trade designation used by Suntory Flowers, which is responsible
for nationwide distribution of the Angel Earrings fuchsia family.
The same variety is referred to as Frill White on the Nishinomiya Plant
Research Center's website.
It is known as Angel Earrings® Double Red in the USA and Canada. So,
it has three different names apart from the registered denomination 'Sanifreho.'
Dual Pearl freely produces scarlet/white double flowers on its relatively
stiff branches.

As with other magellanica type fuchsias, the rich scarlet of its tube and sepals fades with increase in temperatures.
My Dual Pearl managed to survive the first summer, but I found its root badly damaged. Although the Angel Earrings fuchsias are acclaimed for their heat resistance, I would suggest you play it safe, and take cuttings as insurance in a very hot climate.
Note:
Year of hybridization is based on the description on the Nishinomiya Plant
Research Center's webpage. Growth habit is based on my personal impression.
