1. NAME

rvfmp3 - converts from RVF file to MP3 file

rvfmp3-c - DOS, Windows commandline use
rvfmp3-w - Windows Explorer use
rvfmp3-m - Older Macintosh use
rvfmp3-u - PC-UNIX use
rvfmp3-mx - Mac OS X Terminal use

3. DESCRIPTION

supported model:
TalkMaster RIR-100 produced from SUNCORPORATION (Japan)
maybe supports other OEM models below;
DDR-4000 manufactured by DIASONIC Technology Co., Ltd. (Korea)

supports both HQ mode(16kbps) and SHQ mode(32kbps) RVF files.

rvfmp3-c

runs on DOS, Windows family commandline.
Wildcard characters (both `*' and `?') are supported.

rvfmp3-w

runs on Windows family.
*Just Drag-and-Drop* RVF files on `rvfmp3-w' icon.
To use from Explorer or TM-Explorer (or RYW-Explorer),
create shortcut in your `SendTo' folder.

rvfmp3-m *experimental*

runs on older MacOS.
(Developed on MacOS 8.6. doesnt run on MacOS9 ?)
*Just Drag-and-Drop* RVF files on `rvfmp3-m' icon.

rvfmp3-u *experimental*

runs on i386 based GNU/Linux 2.2.5,
FreeBSD/i386 with Linux emulation,
and NetBSD/i386. (maybe runs on OpenBSD/i386.)
(Developed on Red Hat Linux 9)

rvfmp3-mx *experimental*

runs on Mac OS X, Terminal commandline.
(GUI?... I don't know).

4. NOTES

this is alpha version release.
no warranty.

5. BUGS

for all versions before 2005/02/07
using an old firmware (e.g. firmware version 1.1)
and recorded onto an external memory,
RVF files are not recognized as RVF format.
(fixed; rvfmp3-w-20050227.exe, rvfmp3-c-20050227.exe)

check only first frame syncword in RVF file.

No wildcard characters (neither `*' nor `?') are supported
on rvfmp3-w.

rvfmp3-w.exe in rvfmp3-20031109.lzh
if one of input files is not RVF format,
following RVF files are not recognized as RVF format.
(fixed; rvfmp3-w-20031121.exe)

write better page ;)
fix bugs above, if possible
support Drag-and-Drop for Mac OS X edition
support wildcard characters on Windows Explorer edition
create filter-style program for UNIX user
open the source with BSD style licence
