My job

My job is teaching how to use a PC, I visit customer’s homes and small companies.
I think the best way to study the PC is to study with your own PC in your environment,
and my teaching style has always been man to man.
This may be seen as poor business, but I think that this way is better for the customer.
I have taught in this way for more than 10 years.
The teaching hours I have taught so far is over 5000 hours.
I would like to continue to keep this style for the future.
 
I have another special PC class that I teach the UJI city welfare house.
About 3 year ago, I was asked to teach a PC class for disable people as a volunteer.
The class consists of 15 persons who are physically handicapped and can not hear.
Some of them are called deaf and dumb.
UJI city sent us 2 summary writing translators, and 2 sign language translators .

 

I have realized that the disable student’s motivation is stronger than a regular person.
Moreover, they have sharp sense and they study hard.
This class has continued for more than two years already.
Nowadays, this class is changing from beginner class to intermediate,
and I look forward to seeing them every week. .
 
Today, information technology is growing more and more.
I would like to enjoy more time with my PC mates.

My New Year 2015　

Q: How did you spend your New Year?
The first day of the New Year.
My two sons’ family didn’t come back this year.
Two sons’ job may be busy around the end of year.
We ate a special meal called OSETHI.
Sold OSETI is not only luxurious but also expensive.
We are not able to afford to buy it, instead my wife made her original it
Each dish of OSETI has their original meaning like a superstition.
For example, a black soybeans gives us long life and a herring roe means that you will have many children.
The second day of the New Year.
I and my wife visited the BYODOIN temple.
When we arrived there many visitor has made a long line already.
We gave up going into the temple, and we were walking along the outside of the temple instead.
There was a wall made of trees on the border.
I know we can see through the opening in the wall.
Finally we could take a picture the whole view of the temple through the opening.
 
Q: What are your resolutions for this year?
.
I have two resolutions. The first of the two is・・・・・
I have to take care my health.
I have had a complete medical checkup once every year.
According to the result, the worse item is increasing more and more.
The doctor says that the source of every evil is animal fat around waist.
 I have to reduce my weight at least 5kg this year too.
My best weight is 65kg.
Anyway, I will try walking harder than normal.
One more
I would like to be better English speaker more than now.
I have studied English for more than 10 years but it has not improved.
But I have thought there is no short cut for speaking English well.
This plan is maybe my forever goal too.





English conversation. of Japanses

Japanese who are middle age or more tend to avoid foreigner.
That’s why we have no confidence to speak English.
We have not been educated English conversation.
We have had complex against foreigner.
But we should have more thinking.
When we visited to US, we never speak to American positively.積極的に
Like this difference is our problem I think.
Let’s start studying English together from today, from now.



My NEW YORK

 

I and my wife have visited New York city of USA last week.

It was a six days trip.

●NEW YORK

Kyoshu and Hokaido are the combined size of New York.

Aomori pf of Japan and New York are same Latitude N40.50

The population is about 20 million.

New York city is consist of 5boroughs ( region).

 

●The first day

We arrived at JFK airport of NY city.

It took just 13 hours from NARITA to there.

And we visited the hotel which we are going to stay consecutive 4 days.

The hotel was located far from the center of NY, instead it was cheap.

Ob course my budget has limited.

●The second day

Fortunately it was nice weather and not hot not could.

①　We did sight-seeing the center of Manhattan by double decker bus.

The bus was chartered by our group only.

Times square garden, Empire state building, and the other place we have hard.

Anyway USA is car society, a lot of taxi it called yellow cub, public bus, private car were coming and going.

In spite of weekday, the traffic was crowded.

I though we are not able to drive in NY city without high technic driving skill.

There were a lot of place which was under construction here or there.

② Metropolitan Museum.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art located in New York City, is the largest art museum in the United States and one of the ten largest in the world. There are lot of paintings and sculptures more than two million works, divided among seventeen curatorial departments

The admission was donation stale. But almost vister paid弗2 5. .

It was allowed to take a picture without using a flash.

③ Broadway Musical “The Phantom of the Opera”

Maybe you know the story already, the music was very beautiful, and some scene has many kinds tricks,

 

●The third day

We did sight-seeing in Brooklyn area on foot.

Brooklyn Bridge.  Build between Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Brooklyn Bridge park.   We can see a panoramic view of the skyscrapers of the Manhattan. 

 

●The forth day

The day was free time in while day.

So we made a nice plain. It was visiting Washington DC area

It took 3.5 hour from NY to Washington DC by Amtrak rail line.

White House,                     Unluckily, Mr.OBAMA was absence..

United States Capitol　　　　　　　 Consist of Senate and House

The height is is 88m and we can’t build skyscraper more than 88mm over in the Washington DC.

Arlington National Cemetery.      It is said there are 400,000 tombs include the unknowns, 

Smithsonian Museum            This is consist of 19 museums, and the most popular is National Air and Space Museum.

There are many kinds of airplanes are exhibited there include Japanese ZEROSEN, and Apollo 11th

 

●The fifth day

World Trade Center   WTC    9/11 MEMORIAL  ZERO area

At 2001/9/11, two airplanes attacked to the International trade center, and about 4,000 persons died.  Almost skyscrapers rebuild already include new memorial zoon.

TRINITY Church.  This is one of the landmark of NY. This church well know the 

Washington Square Park  A parade ground.  Many students of NY university enjoy here.

 The spot for avant-garde artists. The battlefield for chess lovers. exercise place for a dog and children

Blue Note   The most famous jazz club in the world.

 

●Traffic circumstances

Subway.  There are 22 lines. So it is very easy to visit to main places.

         And it has no elevator no escalator and no timetable.

         There is no air-conditioner, it is very could in winter.

But the sub way is serviced through a 24 hours.

 

Taxi      It is called yellow cab.  Officially recognized taxi of NY.

There are about 12,000 taxis in NY 

There are driver who can not understand English, they know the map of NY only.

 

●trouble

My tour guide said "don't use the subway at least after 9:00pm. NY is becoming safety but not completely.  So we took a tax it called yellow cab.

The tax driver asked me "where" only. I show him the address of the hotel we have staid. The driver seemed understand.

After ten minutes I felt that the driver was taking the wrong way. I said to the driver "You made a mistake because of this is my first time coming like this area”

The driver answered "Don't worry my GPS is guiding us".  After several minutes the tax mater show me 30 over. When I used a taxi this morning the taxi fee was just 20.         I asked him again "Could you chick again this address"  He tried to chick again with his smart phone while a minutes.

After that he said "I'm sorry, my GPS made a mistake, I got your correct place now, I will take to the hotel right now". Finally I got my hotel. It took about one hour since I caught this taxi.    "Anyway thank you but how much do I pay. Maybe this was your responsibility" I asked him. "Yes, it was my mistake, please pay me just 20 only it's OK" "Oh, thank you so much. This is for you". I pay extra money as a tip.

After all, I could enjoyed the night view of NY by taxi, moreover it was free.



Family name

 

 In the Japanese Diet, a new bill has been establishing.
The bill said that a married couple is always have second name as their family name.
It is may be against the Japanese Constitution recently they say.
After get marry, the new couple should decide their family name in civil law.
They can chose from husband’s second name or wife’s one.
Almost couple has named husband’s second name and it is not fair.
Japanese Constitution said that under the Constitution, all people are equally about everything.
I think this bill may be one of the passage of time.
Our family should be named by our self.
Actually USA, UK and almost advantage countries has no controlled, entrusted by personal.

It is also thought unlucky to sleep with the head towards the north 'kitamakura', since this is how dead bodies are laid out.

Racism

 

United States of America has had deeply big two problems.
One of two is that USA is still staying a rifle society.
Another one is that USA society can't break from racism.
And like this situation was repeated and repeated.
And those two problems has relation each other.
The result, a lot of incident happen every year.
You know two young black guy was killed by police man recently.
Moreover, the two white police men weren't indicted.
It is said that an arrested black person is twenty times of white.

What is your level of speaking English? 
You will be at a loss for an answer.
People say ”he can speak English fluently”,” He can speak English like a PERAPERA”
But there is no criterion which is how profound did you get the English skill.
It is difficult to get the measure of the results.
For example,
Losing my weight about five kg.
No smoking.
Making a girlfriend.
These are ease to get the measure of the results.

Japan is safe. Nobody has gun, except policeman and YAKUZA.
I think Japanese police has high security capacity.
Arrest rate of murder is nearly 100 percent they say.
I don’t understand that Why U.S government allows to have gun to people.

KOSHIEN

I am interest in about high school baseball tournament game every summer.
It is the biggest event to baseball fan in Japanese summer.
More than 3000 teams fight toward to national winner.
Fist of all, a local baseball tournament is hold in each prefecture, and each local winner gather at KOSHIEN ballpark.
In this year case, 58teams gathered at KOUSIEN.
All games has been broadcasted by NHK and a commercial station.
I visited KOUSIENN for watching a quarterfinal the other day.
The day, I got up at 4:30, I arrived 7:00, but a long line for to buy the tiket was made already by audience.
When the game started, the ballpark was full. It was said the audience was more than 50000
My target game was TOIN represented OSAKA prefecture vs TOKOU represented AOMORI prefecture.
Because, both teams had high level pitcher.
The game was come up to a pitcher’ duel as expected.
Finally, the count of hit was only 9 which total of 2 teams.
And, the TOIN won the game by a score of 4 to 0.

Kyoto city
Kyoto is old capital of Japan.
Kyoto became the capital of Japan in the 8th century.
 
The streets were laid out in a grid pattern modeled after Chang’an. 西安
This is why it is easy to get around in Kyoto 
You will find many old beautiful buildings in Kyoto, including 17 sites that have the UNESCO world Heritage designation. 指定
 
Kyoto is also big and modern city.
The population is about 1.5 million. Global high-tech ハイテクcorporation such as 任天堂 and京セラ have their headquarters in Kyoto.  Kyoto is also a city of academics. It is home to about 40 universities and colleges. Some of these, such as 京都大学, among the best known in Japan.
 
Kyoto was not targeted for bombing爆撃 during the World war second.
That is why you can still see many charming traditional buildings and artwork
芸術品 in the city.
 
Kyoto located in the west-central part of mainland Japan.
It is directly north of Osaka, and is about 500km west of Tokyo.
The city is surrounded by mountains. The law in Kyoto restricts the height of buildings, so you can see the mountain from many parts of the city.
 
Weather
Spring and fall in Kyoto are very pleasant and enjoyable, but summer and winter can be uncomfortable. This is because the city is surrounded be mountain and is shaped like a basin.
In summer the gets very humid.
In the daytime the temperature often goes over 35 degrees.
In winter it is dump（じめじめと）and cold.
The average summer temperature in Kyoto is about 5 degrees higher than in Tokyo, and in winter it is about 5degrees lower.
 
Shrines and Temples
Kyoto has about 400 shrines and 1,700 Buddhist temples, both small and large.
Visitors go to the famous shrines and temple to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the building s and gardens.  People of any religious background can enjoy sightseeing at the shrines and temples, and there is usually no strict dress code.
Since the 6th century, Shinto and Buddhism have been coexisting in Japan.
That’ why you see both of these throughout the country.
 
Souvenir
I recommend Japanese carrying close called furoshiki
Furoshiki is close of about one square meter that is used for wrapping things to carry.
It is usually made of cotton or silk and comes in traditional Japanese patterns（模様、柄）.
In Japan, people often use furoshiki to carry formal gift.
The furoshiki not part of the gift. Though so after the gift is given, it is folded up and taken back home.
There are different ways to wrap things depending on size and sharp.
 You can even make furoshiki a stylish handbag.


Glenn Miller
 
I have respect for the Glenn Miller.
He was born in 1904, and has die in 1944.
He was trombone player, but not so famous as trombone player.
But he made(organize) swing jazz big band when he was 37 years old.
The strong point of his band had been consist of almost brass instrument except contrabass and percussion.
Main instrument was saxophone, trumpet and trombone.
And those melody instrument was useful to make beautiful harmony,
Like this unique sound and his melody made us to be famous him
And he also composed many wonderful music.
The typical number was Moonlight Serenade, “In The Mood Little Brown Jug and the others”.
Please listen to this sound.
                                              
This is his band theme music, and also one of standard number of jazz.
To our regret, he has died by the airplane crash in world war 2. He was 40 years old.
In those day, there were many famous musician.

So why I have respected him?
About half century ago, I was into instrument so much.
When I was senior high school, I had belonged to brass band club, and at age 15, I took up trombone
And when I was university, I had played tenor sax.
My father bought new tenor sax for me.
The member was about 30, We had practiced hard everyday.
When I was 2 grade, we decided to change band style from brass band to swing band.
Our target was Glenn Miller Orchestra.
In those day, there are no DVD,CD,even tape recorder.
One of the member got a SP record of Glenn Miller Orchestra with the score.
We use to listen to the record again and again.
Anyway, we started to mimicry of Glenn Miller Orchestra .
When I was 4 grade, our band had been becoming little by little like Glenn Miller Orchestra.
In those day, a new film was released. The title of movie was “Glenn Miller story”
It was impossible to forget about Glenn Miller through my student life.


Hate crime（憎悪による犯罪）

American young man twenty one years old killed nine black persons at church yesterday.  It was indiscrimination murder. He is still only 21 years old.
This nightmarish has happened repeat and repeat in America society.
Racism (racial-ism)and gun society: These double evils has took root tightly in America society.
Why this two problem will never lapse（消滅）in USA?
Almost American never stand up seriously against it.
Almost American has given up immediately.
By the way, the murderer was still only 21 years old.
General speaking, a person who is 21 years old, probably his ideology has not still grew up completely.
How had the family given education for him?
I can’t understand the parenting of his parents.
I think the parents has followed their ideology on his son as education.
Why these parents gave a gun to their son as a birthday present.
Some of American family hate a black persons still now why.
But anyway we have continued to love American except these problems.
We expect these problems will be solve even little by little in future.

 


Refugees 難民
Refugees is a big problem in North Africa and EU.
Increasing refugees by a civil war may break the balance of EU.
Only Italy has accepted many refugees every years so far.
But recently Italy can’t accept all.   Because the number of the refugees has become so many.
And the nation of Italy are starting to exclude them.
So Italy asked to accept refugees to another member’s country.
Another country of EU disagree about the suggestion.
And also said this is your responsibility, because of your country is the first country which accepted them.
This problem is may being the cause of divide in EU
 

The new national stadium

The Olympics Game of 2020 is suppose to fold in Japan.
There is a big problem about new national stadium.
First, the design of the new national stadium was wonderful they say.
But the plan was designed without thinking the cost.
The designer who is famous foreign designer made plan which is always useless and strange buildings.
The cost was 250 billion and the cost of maintenance is more than it for 50 years.
Strangely, all concerned tried to shift the responsibility onto each other.
Finally, Prime Minister Mr. ABE determined that this plan should go back to the drawing board. And he said that we will make a fresh start toward 2020.
Almost people agreed with him.
Even if that is start from the one step, it will be in time for 2020 year they say.
We should cheering and cooperating to this big event.
