- Company Case Studies
- Cross-cultural business practices and management methods.
- Interactive communication, role-play and telephone practice.
- Video and tape listening lessons and improving comprehension skills
- Speech and presentation practice.
- Current business indicators and economic analysis.
- Business news comprehension and discussion.
The Saturday lesson is 2 hours, from 10:00am to 12:00 or 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
The lesson focus is divided into 3 sections. Instruction, Conversation/Discussion and Listening.
- The Instruction period focuses on vocabulary building and lesson context.
- Pair-work is Discussion time. Reading homework is analysed. Key ideas and logical framework are highlighted.
- Listening. Every week there are audio tapes and video. Usually there will be a comprehension test of the listening subject.
Most of the students have been studying together for more than 4 years, some have even been with us for 8 years. Each year the student's ability is measured by his/her fellow students. The first 2 years usually show marked improvement with an average of 21.4% increase in skills and comprehension. Top Ten usually changes the subject and content of the lesson every two weeks. Please check our update page to learn about the current lesson content. Each month Bob will invite a gueat speaker, usually from an American company doing business in Japan. The presentation is usually in English, but sometimes Japanese is used. Remember, every 2 weeks.... If you would like to suggest a topic, please m@il Bob
There are 4 lessons in a month @ Y8000. (Students are required to pay quarterly, therefore the tuition is calculated at Y24,000 for 3 months. There is also a sign-
up fee of Y8000.)
The Top Ten family of students often eat lunch together after the lesson. Most discussions usually are continued in English.
