They say that the world is divided into two mutually-incompatible groups: dog lovers and cat lovers. Personally, I believe that two much more acrimonious groups exist: early risers and late risers.

Each group is, in a sense, officially sanctioned by the government during the year. Late risers enjoy more daylight time in the evening during Daylight Savings Time, which starts in April and ends in October. Early risers get to feel even more Puritanical and self righteous earlier in the morning during Standard Time, which starts in October and ends in April.

We are currently in the Daylight Savings Time period. This period will end as of 2:00a.m. Sunday, October 26, 2003, and will be followed by Standard Time. Whether you are an early or late riser, kindly remember to move your clocks ONE HOUR BACK this Sunday before turning in for the night.

Thank you.

HR & Administration

(This period will end as of 2:00a.m.
