From my diary 1.Nov.97 18:45　Departed from Kansai International Air Port to Hong Kong by JAL 709. 22:55　Arrived at Hong Kong International Airport just 1 hour time difference. My friend came to bring us. 23:35　Checked in the NEW WORLD HOTEL room No.1536. one double bed and one single bed with a 　　letter table. Another room was wide living. Maybe a best or second class room of this hotel. 23:45　Visited to my friend's room and there drunk some glasses of brandy and introduced HONG KONG manners and how to behave here and check safety to do everything. 2.Nov.97 7:00　　Woke up by morning call. Weather was very fine but felt a little sleepy. 8:00　　Started to the HONG KONG GOLF CLUB. 8:45　　Arrived at the HONG KONG GOLF CLUB and signed each name showing passport. After changed clothes to play golf we took the breakfast of Chinese OKAYU and something like that. They were very tasty so I Ted another bowl of OKAYU. 9:55　　Started front 9 holes of the OLD COURSE. Front 9 score was 42 par 35 with 1 OB. After a short time rest started IN course. In course was tricky so I lost 2 balls at 10th hole and the hole finished 9 par 4. Total back 9 score was 49 par 36. My impressions of the OLD COURSE were flat, short and greens were very fast. Especially green condition was best. Greens were very difficult for me to understand slice or hook line. But my caddie advised me several times dependent on his experiences. My friend told me at this club it's should be accompany with 1 member per 1 party. On Saturday and Sunday only the members and foreign country visitors with passport can play. 13:45　After finished a round of 18 holes we took shower and sauna. Lunch were Chinese noodle and rice like Japanese YAKIMESHI tasted very good. We bought some sweaters and caps for ours and souvenir at the pro shop. 16:05　Came back to hotel and took a short time rest. 17:00　Went to window shopping around the Regent Hotel shopping arcade which were neighboring of our hotel. There were many many famous international bland shops such as GUCCI, HERMES, AIGNER, Christian Dior, TRUSSURDI and CHANEL. Prices were very expensive and almost same prices in Japan. There I bought two seals for souvenir. They were hand made and engraved each name on the top of them probably made from marble. Left the arcade we were brought to crowded street near the PENINSULA HOTEL but we did not buy anything. 19:30　Reached a Chinese restaurant named The GOLDEN ISLAND BIRD'S NEST RESTAURANT (金島燕窩潮州酒楼） We tasted 潮州dishes. Of course drunk a bottle of 紹興酒. 22:30　After Chinese dinner we went to the Hong Kong island by ferry and went top of the hill which was higher than the terminal station of rope way by taxi. There, we looked down so called "MILLION DOLLAR' NIGHT SEEING of the Hong Kong" Truly best sightseeing with many advertisement sign boards, lumps of the ships and so many room lights excited me. The tunnel from the Hong Kong island to Kowloon was made of giant tube which was laid under the sea. 23:40　After the night sightseeing came back to hotel lounge. Drunk some glasses of sham pain. In front of the wide window there was sea and many ships were moving this way and that. Over the sea so called 100 million dollar's Hong Kong night screen which we looked down on the top of the hill several minutes before. There were biggest advertisement sign board "CITIZEN" in the world and so many color boards. He said no wink boards give a presence of his mind to compared to Japan. 0:40 a.m.　Bed in to sleep. 3.Nev.97 6:45　Woke up by morning call. 7:24　Viking style breakfast at hotel restaurant tasted not so good. 8:00　Started to play golf another course of the HONG KONG GOLF CLUB again. 8:50　The Eden course No. 1 hole tee up. Slightly narrow but long distance holes worried me. There were many tall trees both side of rough. My caddie did not speak English, could not judge yardage from the ball to the pin nor did not know green conditions. In addition to them I was a little tired. These problems caused bad score. In this club yardage mark was on the water sprinkler in the center of the fairway. So distance judgement was not so difficult for visitors. Half time rest was after the 13th hole. I took a piece of banana and isotonic drink there. Finished OUT course 54 and IN course 43 par 70. We did not play another course named the NEW COURSE. Where the official Asian golf tournament was held for many pro golf players. 13:00　Came back to open-air restaurant of the club house ate tasty sandwiches, beers and local melons. After a little long time rest we went to pro shop again to buy some souvenirs. Bought 3 caps marked H.K.G.C. 15:00　Back to the hotel, took a bath and packed the belongings to bring back to home. 17:00　Went to Regent shopping arcade to receive seals but we lost where we were. While loitering here and there we came to the most famous and most beautiful promenade in front of the World Hotel and the Regent Hotel. Sightseeing there was wonderful. 18:30　My friend came to our room and we paid the money of this trip by Japanese Yen (total \310,000 for two) 19:00　Started to take dinner another Chinese restaurant named The Great Shanghai Restaurant Co. Ltd.(大上海飯店有限公司） We tasted Shanghai crabs and something others. I was very surprised to heard discussion of Shanghai crabs' price between my friend and shop woman and felt same to buying something in Osaka. 21:40　After tasty dinner we came back to hotel enjoying window shopping of Hong Kongdowntown and popular streets. Someone called us "How about to buy a imitation watch of ROLEX ? in Japanese ROLEX NO NISEMONO IRIMASENKA? " 23:05　Came back to hotel and seated to enjoy Hong Kong night view in the Regent hotel lounge. The best screen of Hong Kong island over the sea was like yesterday we enjoyed. 23:55　Bed in to sleep. 4.Nov.97 6:40　Woke up and took breakfast at our own room one Chinese and one Japanese selection. 8:00 Started to the air port by taxi with many advises from my friend. 10:15　Departed from the Hong International Airport to Japan by JAL 700 and arrived almost 15:00 at Kansai International Airport. It was the best trip for me owing to my friend Mr.Kitashita. I want to say sincerely thanks to him from my heart.

7:24　Viking style breakfast at hotel restaurant tasted not so good.

8:00　Started to play golf another course of the HONG KONG GOLF CLUB again.

8:50　The Eden course No. 1 hole tee up. Slightly narrow but long distance holes worried me.
There were many tall trees both side of rough. My caddie did not speak English, could not judge yardage from the ball to the pin nor did not know green conditions. In addition to them I was a little tired.
These problems caused bad score. In this club yardage mark was on the water sprinkler in the center

17:00　Went to Regent shopping arcade to receive seals but we lost where we were. While loitering here and there we came to the most famous and most beautiful promenade in front of the World Hotel and the Regent Hotel. Sightseeing there was wonderful.

18:30　My friend came to our room and we paid the money of this trip by Japanese Yen (total \310,000 for two)

19:00　Started to take dinner another Chinese restaurant named The Great Shanghai Restaurant Co. Ltd.(大上海飯店有限公司） We tasted Shanghai crabs and something others. 8:00 Started to the air port by taxi with many advises from my friend.

10:15　Departed from the Hong International Airport to Japan by JAL 700 and arrived almost 15:00 at Kansai International Airport. It was the best trip for me owing to my friend Mr.Kitashita. I want to say sincerely thanks to him from my heart.
