The lecture meeting on rock Engineering was held on Wednesday 19th March 2003 at Kyodai-Kaikan in Kyoto Japan. This meeting was held in conjunction with the 1st UE KYOTO (http://rock.kumst.kyoto-u.ac.jp/UEKyoto/index.html) that was held at the same venue on 17-18 March 2003.
This lecture meeting was organized by the commission and supported by the ISRM national group Japan, the Rock Mechanics Committee in the Society of Material Sciences, Japan, and also the Western Branch of the Institute of the Mining and Materials Processing Institute of Japan.
