　満足度１００パーセント、屈指の名盤。ウディー・ハーマン緒作の中でもずば抜けた傑作です。モダンでエキサイティング、オール・スター揃いの名演集。当時のバップ・バンドの勢いと充実したサウンドは、今聴いても少しも古さを感じさせません。それ所か、今日の余りにも精練され過ぎ、生き生きとした動的な感動の少ないサウンドの方が、むしろ影が薄く聞こえます。三枚組の長尺アルバムですが、スター・プレイヤーの熱演がぎっしり詰まって、一曲といえども駄作のない素晴らしい作品集。当時の熱気がビンビンと伝わる強力無比のアルバムです。
