　サッド・ジョーズ＝メル・ルイス・ビック・バンドが、コンテンポラリーの斬新な曲想で魅了したのに対して、このケニー・クラーク＝フランシー・ボラーン・ビック・バンドは、どこまでも伝統に根ざしたオーソドックスなサウンドに、フランシー・ボラーンのヨーロッパ的感性を注入したモダンな作風と、ベニー・ベイリ、ジョニー・グリフィン、サヒブ・シハブ、ジミー・ウッズ・・・在欧の一流ソリストばかりを集めた迫力あるプレーによって多くのフャンの支持を得ました。所が、代表作のことごとくが１９６７年から僅か３年間の間に録音されたものです。
　このバンドの魅力は、何と言ってもサックス・セクションの分厚いソリにあり、ディジー・ガレスピーが絶賛したとか！？「サックス・ノー・エンド」の名演で広く知られていますが、このアルバムでも、その魅力を堪能することが出来ます。「Get Out Of Tow」のサックス・セクションのうねりは圧巻、何度聴いても感動的です。それに、K・クラーク、J・ウッズの刻むリズムが実に心地よく響きます。
