　１９６１年に結成されたケニー・クラーク＝フランシー・ボーランの双頭バンドは、１９７２年に惜しくも解散してしまいました。その後、フランシー・ボーランがバンドを引継ぎ発表したのが、このアルバムです。サックス・セクションの部厚いボーラン・サウンドは健在です。
　アップテンポの「Cross Fire」は、サヒブ・シハブ（baryton）を始めとしてS・ネスティコ（tenor）、B・ベイリー（trmpet）、F・ロソリーノ（trombone）が、クラーク＝ボーラン・バンドの当時と同様に強力なプレイで魅了します。そして「Autumn in New York」では、ボーラン・サウンドの真骨頂であるサックス・セクションのソリが圧巻ですから、ファン垂涎の強力アルバムと言えます。
