Ikebana (also called 'kado' - lit the way of the flowers) is the Japanese art of flower arrangement that originated over a thousand years ago, and is considered one of the 3 main Japanese clutural arts, also with the tea ceremony (sado) and calligraphy (shodo).

This workshop will be taught by Hiromi Hosotsubo, a First Term Master Degree (highest grade) of the Ohara school of ikebana. She has over 30 years of experience teaching ikebana, both in Japan and abroad, having lived in the USA for a few years, and till this day continues to teach students from all over the world, including Switzerland, Germany, and China.

In this workshop, you will learn the Rising Form arrangement - one of the most fundamental arrangements of the Ohara School of ikebana.
