Homer is located 364km southwest of Anchorage, on the Kenai peninsula on Kachemak bay.
This small town is famous for halibut fishing and attracts many visitors each year. I saw so much halibut hanging in front of the shops along the streets. It's a little bit weird.
The public campgrounds are very crowded with many sport fishermen.
