1) Temple Rokuou-In in Shimo-Saga is the origin temple for Temple Kinkaku-Ji (Golden Temple). One can observe a name plate written by Tycoon Yoshimitsu Ashikaga , who established the temple in 1380.

2) Mu-ra-sa-ki Shiki-bu who wrote a famous novel " Genji-Mono-Gatari" in 10th century. She was a talented woman: She learned Chinese poetry faster than her elder brother while her father was teaching it to him. Her memorial tower (built in 1386) is observed at Temple Cen-bon-En-ma-Dou ( located at Senbondori-Rozan-ji). She is sleeping at Horikawa-Kita-Ohji sagaru; a gravekeeper is working on his duty every day.

3) River Kamo: This river has a history covering a period of more than a thousand years. Nowadays, many couples sit down on the sandbank in spring to enjoy watching cherry blossoms on the opposite bank. In summer people take dinners catching cooling breezes on the wood floor extended over the river. There are wall-to-wall restaurants on the right bank.
