Volunteers of Art-yama cleaned up Oiso Beach in the rain.
Though it was raining since morning, but about 30 volunteers worked hard for 2 hours cleaning up the beach.
Ms. Azusa Kojima in from the Japan Environmental Action Network came to help us.
We found much driftwood on the beach.
Some were even from overseas.
After we cleaned up the beach, we had BBQ at Art-yama ,
Then Ms. Azusa talked about environmental preservation and how it affected the beaches.
and showed us some pictures and a video to emphasis her point..
From the morningˇÇs work at the Oiso Beach and from listening to Ms. Azusa ,
I thought we should throw garbage into trash cans, and not into the sea.
In order to protect EarthˇÇs environment.

1,Lecture by Prof. Akira Mochizuki
Prof. Mochizuki, who is a specialist of landscape design, and who has a lot of experience traveling, studying, and working overseas, talked about landscape design.
The lecture was not only about gardening but also about current topics.
We enjoyed it very much.
2, Singing songs
We selected some songs from a list of songs and requested them.
There are sweet voices, big voices, husky voices,off-tone voices, but they harmonized beautifully.
All of the songs were our favorites that we had sung where we were young.
Our hearts seemed to be getting younger as we sang.
